Reflection:
What a better quote to showcase the importance of technology in the ever changing learning system then that from Perry Marshall? As an educator, trainer and facilitator my ever present goal to shape and mold learners into competent digital citizens. Technology is one tool into building that learner- for creating my "hole." Overall, it is the task that matters; The design. The development. The implementation. The deliberate and researched modalities. The outcome. In my professional career as an elementary school teacher I have had an abundance of training and experience with educational technologies. I have had the opportunity to have one personalized learning device per student in my classroom for the past four years. This has strengthened my knowledge of how technology can be a deliberate learning tool. Not only am I proficient at effectively incorporating technologies within a classroom setting, I passionately design and facilitate technologies for training purposes. As a digital leader for my school I assume that instructional role daily. Throughout completion of the MEd program in Instructional Technology at Coastal Carolina I am confident in my abilities successfully design, develop, and demonstrate learning materials for ALL learners; whether learning is done within an educational setting or a professional one, technology can be the leverage to support and strengthen performance. These skills will help me as I plan, design, and implement appropriate training modules for any company in the future. |

Career Plans: Short Term/Long Term:
It is my goal to transition from my role as a classroom teacher into the corporate world as a trainer, instructional designer, support specialist, project manager or instructional facilitator. I look forward to using my unique skill set in design and implementation to leverage technology and improve performance.
